Henry Holland has teamed up with Roxy to design a new line of skiwear comprising 15 pieces of jackets, skirts and knitwear.
“When Roxy approached us about working with them on a small capsule collection I jumped at the idea as I loved the concept of designing a snow wardrobe based on functional and fashionable snow gear,” Holland told us. “I think the fit between Roxy and House of Holland is perfect and they gave me a real free reign on the collection, all of which I think looks amazing!”
The collection, now in store , was inspired by Holland and Roxy’s shared love of music, fashion and snowboarding.

Since exploding onto the fashion scene, we have followed and adored Rick Owens as if he was our best friend. Although he might be known for his black-centric, distressed leather and gothic pieces, really he is a romantic at heart, highly skilled in making women look beautiful and feminine in his clothing. His pieces are romantic and sophisticated, and can be aptly named as ‘refined rock couture’.

With the launch of his denim line DRKSHDW in 2008, fashion rebel Owens confirmed his status as the king of minimalist cool. “In this collection, I get to play with colour. Granted, it’s a spectrum of greys, pale blues, beiges and blacks, but I like to think of Monet’s Waterlillies when I’m designing this line.” DRKSHDW lets you to buy into the same striking sculptural pieces that flatter and rework your silhouette, but in a more relaxed and casual approach. Look out for Owens’ signature softly-sculpted shapes reinterpreted in denim, leather and jersey.
The key to the Rick Owens look is to layer several pieces for an artfully-disheveled urban look. No wonder it’s been said that once you buy once piece from his collection, you’re a convert for life. Celebrity fans such as Madonna buy up his clothes with a cult-like obsession.
The Shop at Bluebird is thrilled to announce that both Rick Owens’ mainline and DRKSHDW are instore now, and are set to become one of the main highlights of our Spring Summer 2010 offering.
