Shop@bluebird are pleased to showcase Rory’s current work which includes beautifully hand drawn individual Intricate Ink illustrations using an ink & quill which are then mounted & housed in vintage frames by Rory to allow viewers a peek into the playful world of his eccentric whimsical animal pals, Marvellous Mugs, Precious Paperweights, Plates, Tremendous Tiles and a cornucopia of vintage treasures and furniture pieces Rory has collected or made on his travels.

Born in England in 1978, Rory Jon Dobner, studied at Chelsea School of Art & Design then achieved a Bachelor of Fine Arts, (Honors), at Central St.Martin’s School of Art & Design.

In 1998 he was awarded the prestigious title of Burns Young Artist of the Year.Rory has worked and exhibited, (both group and solo), in the UK, USA, Australia, Haiti, Hong Kong, & New Zealand before returning to the UK in 2005 & setting up his studio in Hampstead, London. His exhibitions include Enormous Tiny Art Show, LA; Top Edge Gallery, Hong Kong; Port-au-Prince, Haiti; Wild Rains Gallery, Sydney; The Notting Hill Arts Club, London; Soho House, London; Greenwich Maritime Museum, London, Royal Academy, Bristol.

Using many different mediums, he has fulfilled a variety of impressive commissions & completed interior design projects for Agent Provocateur, MTV, Soho House Group, Babington House Hotel, Christian Dior, Ibiza Rocks House Hotel, Arcadia Group, British Telecom, Matrushka Interior Design, Annina Vogel Jewellery, Robert Downey Junior, Shizaru – Mayfair, Will.i.Am, The Hong Kong Cancer Trust, IBM, Robin Ellis Design & Build, Anthropologie, Meg Mathews, Roost Living, Sean Cochrane Interior Design, Shop@BlueBird, Arkadius Couture & On Off London Fashion Week.
